About Us
In December 1960 George and Jim Jones started Jones Pontiac Co. on Orange Street in Lancaster PA. In 1968 the dealership moved to a new location and building at 1335 Manheim Pike. It was the first time the new and used sales lots were at the same location. In October of 1971 we sold our first new Honda as one of the first Honda dealers on the East Coast. GMC Trucks became part of our dealership in November of 1984.
In 1985 Steve Jones became the third generation to manage the dealership. Looking to add a luxury car to the dealership Acura was added in May of 1992 and Buick in December of 1999. In 2025 Jones GMC of Lancaster switched their focus to selling only new GMC vehicles and used cars. Kris and Kyle Jones now represent the fourth generation of Jones to provide leadership of the dealership.
This December we will celebrate 58 years of providing service to our community. We thank everyone who has trusted our sales and service teams over the years and we are grateful and appreciate your business, past and future.
